SDS is delighted to tell you about the exciting times ahead including ongoing investment in new personnel and capital equipment.
New equipment and bag labelling
SDS has installed new, state-of-the-art packing lines for both our Expander and Pellet Production lines. These new lines incorporate automatic label printing and application, and have robotic palletisers all of which will assist in increasing productivity. It also offers the opportunity to use bar coding technology which may be helpful to some of our customers.
Bags from the new packing line have already started to filter through to our customers. The main difference is the bag labelling which will incorporate clearly printed labels in the centre of the bag instead of the previously stitched ticket. Eventually there will be ink jet printing on the sides of the bag rather than the current stencil printing.
Quality Management System
The new revised QMS Quality Management System
BS EN IS9001:2008 was introduced in January 2009 and SDS is delighted to have already obtained this new standard.
New staff
SDS recently welcomed a new team member within Technical Department. The new position of Quality Service Manager will compliment and work alongside, our Quality Manager.
An Administration Assistant also joined us as an additional member to our Team in SDS France. They will assist in maintaining good customer service as our sales continue to increase in France and Southern Europe.
